The Foundation Assisting Needy Children of York County (FANCY) is a non-profit 501(c)3 all-volunteer organization dedicated to providing financial support and essential services to satisfy the unmet needs of youth associated with Department of Social Services, Foster Care, the Guardian ad Litem, Adoptive/Family Services, or state/county economic services in York County or current residents of York County with prior involvement with another state or South Carolina County Health and Human Services program. The Foundation Assisting Needy Children of York County Educational and Development Fund is an initiative of FANCY. The purpose of this Fund is to provide financial assistance for education and development to students who have limited financial resources available and wish to attend an accredited Community College, University, Technical or Vocational School or Program for the purpose of completing a Certificate, License, Associate, Undergraduate or Graduate Degree Program. Providing education and development funding to deserving students in our community is one tool through which we can encourage our maturing youth to become financially independent, excel in their chosen career fields, and succeed within a highly competitive environment.
All applications must be completed and forwarded to FANCY by May 15th of this year.
We will be granting two scholarships for 2018.
